Good Afternoon Members,
It is our pleasure to announce that Wayne Stevenson was nominated and acclaimed to the position of Area 3 Vice President.
Having Wayne Stevenson as both Local Executive Vice President and Vice President of Area 3, Wayne is now the representative of the Seven hospitals of Area 3 (GTA) at the Ontario Council of Hospital Union (OCHU) level.
This is very important as it’s a bargaining year for CUPE and having our Vice President as our greater voice, he will be able to use his extensive knowledge to stand up for all CUPE members. We are proud that Wayne’s home hospital is Markham Stouffville Hospital.
Let us congratulate Wayne Stevenson, we have faith in his leadership as he has shown executional leadership skills.
Many years ago our previous Local President Joe Reddy held this seat. After many years and taking in Joe‘s knowledgeable foot steps, the position is back in the hands of Markham Stouffville Hospitals local executive.
