CUPE Local 3651 – Markham Stouffville Hospital
THE CANADIAN UNION OF PUBLIC EMPLOYEES (CUPE) IS CANADA’S LARGEST HEALTH CARE UNION.
CUPE Local 3651 is a Hospital Local apart of the Canadian Union of Public Employees. Local 3651 was founded in 1994 and has been serving workers at Markham Stouffville Hospital for over 25 years.
As a full service union, our elected leaders also work with the employer to resolve problems in the workplace. All CUPE members work under the protection of a contract called a Collective Agreement. Your local bargains the terms of the agreement on your behalf.
We represent a wide range of health care services workers covered under various classifications including but not limited to:
Clerical, Secretary, Food Services, Cook, Housekeeping, Plant Maintenance, Trades, Unit Attendant, PSA, PSW, RPN’s, Surgical Systems Technician, MDRD Technician, Porters, Linen Attendant, JIT, Stores and Receiving, Printing etc..
The five elected officers of this local, represent and support 706 unionized members.
Together, we contribute to the well-being and safety of workers at Markham Stouffville Hospital.
