CUPE LOCAL 3651 BARGAINING 2021 SURVEY

Dear Members, 

The Canadian Union of Public employees (CUPE) bargains a central collective agreement with 55 Ontario hospitals including ours.

Central bargaining covers most issues: general wage increase, employment security, seniority, contracting out, health and safety, grievance procedure, benefits, sick leave and much more.

Some issues, however, are deemed “local issues” and are bargaining by your local union. These issues include wage adjustments for classification where there is evidence that they have fallen behind their comparators, scheduling, weekend offs, cancellation of shifts, time off between shifts, vacation scheduling and others.

Our local union will be entering into local issues bargaining this fall.
